It isn’t an ode.
Me and a couple of my closest muckers, as the impolite Brits would put it, have recently identified that unconsciously we have slipped in to a slimy substance we prefer to designate as “Zero Senti”. The term was coined by a self made ‘structural analyst’ we call Kur Bhai a.k.a Atikur.
This slimy substance has spread its roots so deep into us that now we have become slaves to it. We do whatever it instigates us to do….with a complete disregard for the consequences that might follow. “Zero” signifies void and “Senti” is the abbreviated form of sentiment. “Zero Senti” hence stands for a state completely void of any sentiments i.e. complete absence of goodwill towards each other.
Ironically, this is the bond that holds us together and it has grown so strong overnight that now we swear by it. The “Zero Senti” mechanism basically thrives on passing the most rude and most heinously unkind comments, which would pierce thru the heart…..yet not cause any internal damage. Taking undue advantage of each other is also on the list, specifically when it comes to culinary delights i.e. tasty food(if u happen to be weak in eng)….see how unkind I can be. It’s “Zero Senti”. We have become so apt at being grossly rude and unkind (mostly with each other), that it is beyond human comprehension that we can call ourselves friends.
Couple of days back…..Kur Bhai was supposedly dejected for not being capable of something that Minister’s son(Zulfi) was….forgot what it was. So, my words of sympathy sounded like ….That’s why u are in Civil n he is in Electronics. Mean. Real mean of me…isn’t it. But that is what “Zero Senti” bids us do……
Recently, however one person has been facing most of the heat of “Zero Senti”…….VOX. He is just the perfect specimen for “fuckin” day in n day out. It gives us sublime pleasure to shove sticks up his black ass. The recent enthusiastic participation in a trivia contest and subsequent grim results drawn by VOX n Co. yielded a remark…..”VOX ek anpar aur gawar insaan hai” by someone who prefers to remain anonymous……Just in case u are reading this, dear Vox, u will realize it’s just a stark example of “Zero Senti”……
